Friday, October 17, 1986 BROGAN ALYSSA HORTON WILLETTE
Carmen to the Stephens Memorial Hospital at 6:30 this morning. She gave birth to a girl at 10:41 AM. She is a very pretty little bundle. Her father is so pleased. He is all shook up. Her grandmothers and grandfather Horton are so big and proud they can’t get through the door. We all love her some much. Kim came tonight to see her brand-new niece. A very big red letter day for all of us. Carmen had a hard time because she had to have it by cesarean birth. Had to be put out. Hope she will be better by tomorrow.
Saturday, October 18, 1986 saw the new baby again Brogan, 56 YEARS WED
A beautiful day. I done up some of the work. Betty and Kim came, wanted me to go shopping if I could. So we went. I got the work done up, made brownies. David came, he and Billie had coffee. Well we took off to go to see that little pink bundle of joy. Her mother was holding her and proud as a peacock. She is proving right at the start what a nice mother she will be. Kim, Betty and I shopped. Clothes and groceries. A very nice wedding anniversary. 56. Dorothea, Fern, Betty, Walt, Kim and John McEnerney. Milan, Betty, Joy, Debbie, Jay, Jessica, Danica and Kathy. We got money, cards, had ice cream cake, coffee. So many nice. Carmen was at SMH at Norway and Brogan Alyssa. She gave us a call. Zack called from Massanutten Military Academy from Woodstock Virginia. We have a very good bunch of kids and other relatives.
