Monday, January 10, 1977 A BAD BAD SNOW STORM
It had just begun to snow when we got up at 5 AM. It increased and began snowing much harder. Most all schools were closed down. SAD 61 schools closed at noon. Carmen got home at about 2 PM. Kim and Zak’s bus to come until 2:30. I went down to Betty’s for a little while this a.m. In p.m. I was busy looking over my scraps and some papers. Bill done some plowing after supper. Billie shoveled. A very bad day and night. It cleared about 10 PM.

A most beautiful day, the coffee group met at Betty’s. I did a wash. In p.m. Betty, Fern and I went to the hospital in Portland NM Care. He was so pleased to see Fern. He is about the same. The city of Portland is a mess. The city street department are working so hard to get cleaned up. It was awful.
