Thursday, July 5, 1990 MOWED HAY
It was foggy when we got up, it soon cleared. The sun came out with a nice drying breeze. Billie to the doctors (Petrone) for his checkup. Everything okay. Then he came home and done the mowing. Got it all done. It looks very good. A very good day for making hay. Carmen busy, to town, up to camp, over to Oxford and got her peas for her vegetable. Dorothea called today to see how I was. I’m better and ate a good supper. I was sick early this morning. Betty and Betty S, Kay and Joy got home about suppertime from camp after staying there all night. Zak came home today.

Billie got a cotton in his ear today and had to go to the hospital and they got it out. He was all shook up and a nervous mess. Carmen here all day, she got the mess I got and sick tonight. Brogan has it too. Billie don’t feel very good either. Dorothea called this evening.

It was a beautiful clear morning. Sun bright and it was very warm until middle of forenoon then it began to get cooler. Well Zack has done very well for the past two days. I hope it will continue. Today cleaned his car inside and out, he watched movies with his father and mother. A big change. I didn’t do much, got the meals, did the work. Carmen didn’t come to work. Brogan is better. Carmen too. Billie been uneasy all day, cold. Didn’t eat much. Betty Smith came down with the flu today. Kathy Smith and son and Nona called today. The baby is cunning. Neat and clean. It was very cool and chilly last night.

A nice day, on the good drying day side. I didn’t do much. I got the papers read. Billie didn’t feel very good. He mowed the pasture over. David had a calf. Walt up for breakfast, had a touch of that flu. Also Zak and Betty Smith. Kim and Tom had a nice day. Engagement in the paper. Brie-arta has gone to Charlene at Tom’s place. She has a good home.
