A nice day. Betty went up to Joy’s and from there up to a
Mrs. Shamon’s and there Betty bought a horse. Dorothea, Zak and I went. A black
one. Betty bought her groceries. It has been another very nice mild day. Betty
put the light up in the yard. Billie to bed early with his same old stomach
trouble. One year ago today Kim to the Maine Medical Hospital for her heart
operation.
Tuesday, April 24, 1973 got the Horse
Billie home sick today. He is very sick. Bill helped Betty
to get the horse stall ready. They moved the chicks outside. In late p.m. Betty
went to get the horse, her name is Ebony. She is black, looks like a very nice
horse. Gentle and kind. They came home about 8 o’clock. I got supper down
there. It seemed good to see the grass all green again.
