Tuesday March 26, 1968
A nice day. I ironed, did a big ironing. About 1 PM today
Fern went to NCM hospital for checkup, observation etc. Lloyd called on way
home. He felt kind of blue about Fern.
Wednesday, March 27, 1968
A very nice and sunny day. The snow went a lot today. I
worked in my bedroom. Got a lot of things done. Lloyd called. Gordon didn’t
come to work. They burned the fields over down to Lloyd and Fern’s old place.
In evening Billie and I called to see Fern in the hospital.
Thursday, March 28, 1968
On the partly cloudy side. I picked over some more boxes.
Packed away some things in the bureau draws. Lloyd called. In evening I went
down to the hospital to see Fern. Dot and Lorraine where there. Fern in pretty
good spirits. She began on her diet today. Gordon didn’t come to work.
Friday, March 29, 1968
Partly cloudy and with rain showers. I done up my work, got
ready and went to town with Lloyd. Got a wedding gift for Billie to give Bonnie
Chadbourne and Jim Tarbox. Alice Boynton came up and brought me up some nice
smelts. Also Gordon came today and worked on the breezeway. I went to town
after supper and later in evening down to hospital to see Fern. Sally called.
