Tuesday, September 19, 1967
A beautiful day. I washed a dite this morning. Betty came up
and brought up a huge washing. I helped to do some of it. In p.m. Sal came, she
and I went to Norway. We looked in the furniture store. Betty babysat for me.
Gordon didn’t work after supper. Rest of the chimney bricks came today.
Wednesday, September 20, 1967
Betty gone to Concord today. She took Carmen. Gordon
finished sheathing or clapboarding the garage. I did a little wash. In evening
Betty, Walt and Carmen called. Norm and Barbara Stanford had coffee. Fern,
Lloyd and Ronald called in PM. A very nice day, very warm. Garage door and back
door, more plywood etc. came from LC Andrews.
Thursday, September 21, 1967
A nice day. I done up regular work. Took care of Kim. Betty
and Carmen up. Betty back down town etc. Carmen here all day. Gordon worked on
roof and put the finish up on breezeway garage. Lloyd began the painting on the
garage. They started on the chimney tonight. Door came for garage.
Friday, September 22, 1967
Cloudy in forenoon, rained last night. Cleared near noon. I
did regular work. Betty came up. She took me to town. I got my glasses
straightened, got groceries etc. Lloyd back up painting. Gordon put windows and
wall into breezeway, put door on back of the garage. After supper Bill, Billie
and Gordon got the chimney up through
first floor. Carmen bad with asthma. Shingles came for roof.
