A very clear pretty day. I did my ironing. Wrote to
Dorothea. Called on Minnie a little while. Bill brought the iron rails home
from Jake Knights. Dot here for supper and evening. Billie brought the fresh
pork home tonight, it is very nice meat. He and I wrapped it. Fern, Lloyd
called. Snow flurries. Betty called on the phone today.
This morning when we got up he saw the first snow on the
ground for the season. Got about 7 or 8 inches. I cooked a piece of corned beef
for our boiled dinner tonight. I tried out the lard and salted the pork down.
This house is very cozy and warm. I love it here. Bob here for supper. Bill
worked a little while after supper.
