They graded the yards, put the pump into the cellar. Fern
and Lloyd here. A man here (Ken Doherty) to see about Walt’s car. We gave them
the Horton’s address. David, Dorothea and Jeff called in p.m. and here for supper.

Monday, October 2, 1967
A nice cool fall day. Fern, Lloyd called, Gordon here, done
some odd and end jobs. George Lowell called. Gordon ordered some plywood and
sheet rock. I called at the Stanfords. She called here. I washed my clothes,
dried good. I talked with Betty and girls today. They went to Newfield Fair
yesterday.
Tuesday, October 3, 1967 Hot
A very nice day. I ironed. It is a beautiful summer like day.
Lloyd painted on the garage. Gordon hauled loam up from the field. I did a dite of cooking.
Wednesday, October 4, 1967 Summer day
A beautiful day. Lloyd painted garage. Gordon hauling loam

coverings. I went over to Stanford’s cottage with Barbara. Very pretty ride.
Very pretty on the lake. A beautiful summer like day. Got Dorothea’s card today.
