A
beautiful day. They got to work early on the cellar hole. Gordon called. Betty
and kids called. Kimberly and Carmen had their pictures taken by Deering
Studios of Portland. I walked up to the cellar today. They are doing well. No
rocks or no water in it at all.

A very
nice mild day. I got my work done. Betty and Carmen came. Betty took me to town
to do the shopping. They came this morning and run the cement for the footing
in the cellar. McDaniel brothers doing the foundation work. RK Brown hauled the
cement. Paid Joe Hatch $95, paid Gordon 100 for labor.
Sunday,
April 2, 1967 HOT! Mama gone three years today
A very
hot day. I got up, tended to Kim. Betty, Carmen and Jeff (?) stayed at Betty’s
last night. Came up, had breakfast then we got ready, went to Dorothea’s to
take Jeff home. Came home, made rolls, pie, baked a chicken. Carmen and Kim
here. Mama gone three years today. Miss her so much.
