Thursday, May 3, 1962 A LETTER FROM BETTY
I sure was glad to get a letter from Betty. It was good to
hear from her, knowing she is all right, but no place to live. What will she
do. I’m so worried. If only I could get to her. Rain Rain Rain. I finished varnishing
the kitchen. Also done buffet and china closet. Kennie and Dot called. In p.m.
went to Herbert Allen’s funeral.

Partly cloudy and showers. LETTER FROM BETTY. She has her
apartment. It was a nice long letter. It was such a relief to hear from her,
that she is all right. I have worried so much about her. I worked getting the
dining room ready to paint and paper. I cooked. In evening I went to town. Mike
got home from base. It pleased Betty.

his fencing. Blanche here in p.m. Fern up here in evening. We called at Ferns
after supper. Her house looks so nice.
