Betty Louise Crook Boutilier left home today for how long I
don’t know. She is so happy, kind of nervous too. Gordon, Sally, Bill and I
took her to Boston’s Logan airport to take a plane to Cleveland, flight 507 to
go and visit with Esther and family. After Mike comes back from his tour in
Germany, which he has to take, she will go to be with him. We left home about
12:30, got up there about 3:00 with Betty until she left at 6:50 PM. I hated so
to see her go. Yet this is the best thing for her. A new life is what she needs.
I hope she finds an everlasting new happiness with her loved one Mike, her
husband. God bless them both.
She arrived in Cleveland by plane at 9:30. Esther and family
met her. She called home about 11 o’clock. We just got home. We had a good
time. Betty enjoyed her trip up. Was nervous and also strange to her and me. We
ate at Howard Johnson’s on way home. Had a lot of company here at home. Frances
Harmon came, brought Betty and Mike a gift. Kennie, Dot, Fern and Lloyd, Art
Ward and girls, Blanche.
