Cold and a horrible mess of snow. I worked upstairs. Varnished,
painted, hope to get all done up there this weekend. We had about 5 inches of
wet heavy snow, such a mess. To town after supper.

A miserable cold day and this old snow. I baked beans, done
some painting upstairs. I cooked. Dawn Parks and Janice called. I mailed a
letter to Betty and Mike with some money in it. $15.

A miserable day, cold and a mess of snow. I washed kitchen
ceiling and the floor. Bill worked at Gordon’s all day. I got dinner, Kennie, Dot
called, ate supper. Bob and Blanche called. Today in the a.m. Horace Flint shot
himself with a 30:30 gun up there on the old Sam Ridlon place. Too bad. He had
financial troubles.
