Betty took Kim to the dentist, she had three or four teeth pulled. Then they went to Dawn’s for rest of the day and to get Zak. Carmen went over to Kit Fosters to babysit in p.m. Tonight she is babysitting. Lee Pinkham called this evening. Kim up here again tonight. I worked on my papers and scraps today.

A fair day, it got cloudy in late p.m. Bill took me to town this afternoon. Kim up here all day. She likes to be all alone. Bill worked on the building they are making for the tractor. I picked some string beans. Betty and kids, Dawn and kids, Joy and kids all went on the Songo Riverboat today. Zak up here tonight. He is so pleased.

Saturday, August 7, 1976 RAIN
What a miserable old day. I done my regular work. Zak watched TV all morning. I did a dite of cooking. Betty, Joy and Dawn and all the kids except Zak went to the field day at Animal Refuge League in South Windham. After supper I went down to Betty’s a little while. It is so discouraging this rain now for two weekends. Zak has been very good.
