Sunday, May 9, 1976 MOTHER’S DAY, VERY NICE
I got $30 in money, two pretty dresses, two boxes of very nice candy (chocolate) and very nice cards. I’m a lucky old lady to have nice children like these. A very nice day. Also grandchildren. Fern, Lloyd called, Es and Cliff and of course Dorothea, Dave, Betty, Walt and children. I did a big wash and got them ironed. We had a roast pork supper and dandelions, the greens were so good. Billie picked the rocks in the garden and at Walt’s. Betty and Walt and kids pitched the tent today, a very nice one. Weather has been a little better today, some black clouds went by. Kimmy had a good time last night.
