Thursday, June 17, 1976 Cloudy
It cleared away and was a nice day. Betty down to Dawn’s to take something down to her. Dorothea came about noon. We went down to Betty’s with me, Betty, Dorothea, Laurie and I made root beer. This was Kim’s last day of school because she has to go to the heart clinic tomorrow. She passed. We enjoyed Dorothea’s visit very much. She stayed up here for supper. She worked on Bill’s diet menus. Bill is very bad. He is so weak.

Friday, June 18, 1976 LLOYD BROKE HIP, IN HOSPITAL, NCMH, KIM TO CLINIC, ED VERY LOW
Bill up to camp but he is very weak and looks very bad. Today Betty and Kim left early to go to the heart clinic at the Maine Medical Center. She will have her operation the summer. She has got to lose some weight. Betty saw Dawn at the Osteopathic Hospital. Ed is very low and the end is near. We are so sorry for him and Dawn too. He was such a very likable guy. He didn’t know them today. This forenoon Lloyd fell in his garage and broke his hip. He was taken to the NCM hospital by ambulance. It’s too bad he is so feeble and has fallen many times. He will have an operation Monday morning. Esther, Fern, Betty and I down to see him tonight. I done a big wash. Carmen and Zak passed at school.
