Thursday, June 19, 1975 LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
Today was the last day of school. Carmen, Kim and Zak all
passed. Carmen to seventh grade, Kim to fourth and Zak to first. They got very
good ranks all year. I was down to Betty’s in a.m. Bill worked on the fence.
Wally and George worked on the barn roofs. In a.m. Betty took Fern and Lloyd to
town to shop. In p.m. Randy Harmon called at Betty’s and Holly and all her kids
were there. Betty took Carmen and Kim over to Joy’s to swim. The girls came back to stay
all night and to go Saturday to Storyland with the Horton kids.
Friday, June 20, 1975 SCHOOLS OVER
Well, when we got up this morning no school. The kids had a
good time riding bikes etc. Zak was up here. Betty, Zak and I went to town.
Also Esther and Billie went with us. Esther was quite nervous acting.

Saturday, June 21, 1975 kids to Storyland was Sunday School
It was quite windy today but sunny. Bill painted the end of
the house. And mowed lawns. Betty mowed her lawns. Today the kids, Carmen, Kim
and Zak went to Storyland in New Hampshire with the Sunday School. Laurie and
Kathy went with them. Tonight Fern, Lloyd and I went for a ride with Betty and
Walt up to a place in Greenwood where Walt tested soil.
Sunday, June 22, 1975 Hot and Sunny
I done up the work, changed all the beds and did a big wash.
Joy and family at Betty’s for a cookout and a celebration for Cindy’s birthday
and Buddy’s leaving. Nola graduated from nursing college today. Esther and
Cliff went.
