Saturday, September 5, 1964
A very nice day, on the cool side. Betty and I over to June Stackhouse’s,
downtown. Came home, made biscuits. Fern up for supper. Norma called today. She
and her friend Rick took Carmen and Betty for a ride.
Sunday, September 6, 1964
A beautiful day. I done up my regular work. Betty gone all
day and all night. Aunt Ava here in p.m. Kennie, Dot, Fern and Lloyd. Billie
got the cows up into the field today. He mowed Chet’s hay. Hauled the dump stuff
off.
Monday, September 7, 1964 Labor Day
Did a real big wash. Bill and Billie didn’t have to work. A
very nice sunny hot day. Fern, Lloyd called. Betty, Carmen and I out in p.m.
Came home, had a steak cookout for supper. Billie haying up to Chet’s and for
Lawrence. Bill and I called at Ferns.

Tuesday, September 8, 1964
A nice day. I wrote my letter’s, sent letters and payments
etc. To town in p.m. Betty cleaned up her house. Didn’t feel very good.
