Sunday, May 24, 1964 HOT
Still very hot yet a little more of a breeze. I got up about
8 AM. Carmen fussying. Got breakfast, done up the work. Betty took Doreen and
Dick to church (Catholic), when she came home, made sandwiches and then took
them home. Bob, Kennie and Dot called. Billie gone most all day.
Monday, May 25, 1964
A very windy day, it cooled off very fast. Real cold wind in
late p.m. and evening. I did a tremendous big wash. I sat out some more of the
dahlias. I got all the clothes in and ironed after supper. Betty had Louise,
Roland and Bonnie up. Dot and Kennie up. Bob and Blanche. Cut Carmen’s bangs.
Tuesday, May 26, 1964
Still cold and windy. I got my housework done up and got
ready. Blanche and I up to East Stoneham to the Cemetery, two grandmothers, one
grandfather, two uncles and one aunt. Came home, cleaned kitchen stove and
playpen. Louise up here. Betty down to Louise’s in p.m. and evening. Set
rhubarb out.
Wednesday, May 27, 1964
Finished the timber and pulpwood. Hauled tractor home. I
cleaned the old tie up, washed barn windows, did shed chamber floor. Betty
mowed lawns in PM. Billie mowed after supper. Rosalie and Randy called. Wind
blowed hard all day. Got cold after supper.
