Monday, November 1, 1976 A nice day
Today we began cleaning at Betty’s. Got done all of the upstairs. It looks very nice. A very nice day, but awful cold and windy.
Tuesday, November 2, 1976 Election Day
Cleaned at Betty’s, she got up at 4 AM and went to the airport with Joy and Pat to take Debbie to the airport to go back to Bermuda. I went down and Bill to vote early this morning. Pat went with us. We got cleaned to the dining room at Betty’s. I washed when I got home tonight.
Wednesday, November 3, 1976 PRESIDENT CARTER, finished housecleaning, $92.80 $213
It was on the cloudy side. At 4:15 AM it was announced James Carter had been elected president. Hope he does well, and makes changes. I wish him well. Today finished housecleaning at Betty’s. It looks VERY NICE NOW. Down to Fern’s in evening. I sat up and listened to the returns until 2 AM. Bill sat up all night. Betty was up until 5 AM. Kimmy enjoyed it very much.
Thursday, November 4, 1976 Cloudy and Rain
It has been a cloudy rainy day. I done up my regular work. Worked at the desk making out bills etc. Went to the post office. I ironed, cooked chicken for supper. Betty to dentist, Dorothea up to Joy’s today. Betty up to Joy’s all p.m. then in evening Dorothea, Joy, Fern, Pat and I all down to Betty’s, we looked at snaps and albums.
