A very
cold day, gray, bleak and a East wind. The sun was shining when we got up. Soon
clouded in. We all went up to the new house. Bill put the footing in for the
cellar way. Fern, Lloyd called. Kennard, Delores called. Betty to town.

Snow this
morning, what a mess. Rain and snow. Betty and Carmen took the clothes to
laundry. I did a little hand washing. I did a dite of cooking. Kim a bit fussy.
Velma Staley operated on today.

Up early
this morning into Portland. We stopped at Dorothea’s, she went with us. No
permanent back injuries the Dr. whom Betty went to, told her from the accident. We went to Bradlee’s. We came home, got supper. Then
started for Lewiston. Rained most all the way to
Lewiston, that is. Called on the Thomas family.
