Tuesday, July 21, 1959 Milan Elliott Smith’s birthday
A very nice hot day. I washed. Kids all went swimming.
Dolores called. Done ironing today. LETTER from Adair’s.
A hot day. I churned. Worked all day. Kids swimming. Tired
all out. Dr. Nash not feeling very well, he had his son come up and get him.
He’s gone for a day or so.
Thursday, July 23, 1959
Another awful hot day. Kids at home all this forenoon. At
noon time Bill took them to North Bridgton to go swimming. In evening they went
over to Dawn’s mothers with her to swim. I cooked, washed, ironed etc. We canned

Friday, July 24, 1959
Today I cooked and churned. Kids swimming in p.m. and
evening. Dr. Nash didn’t come back tonight. Bill, Norma, Pat and I to town in
late p.m. Kennard called in p.m.
