Saturday, July 4, 1987 RAIN CLEARED
When we got up this morning it was cloudy and raining. It was a miserable day for a big picnic at Twin Oaks. But at about 11 AM it began to break away. We went up to camp. Kim picked Kassie and I up. It cleared away good after a while. Deborah and Jay had a baby girl born at 8 AM LeAnne Kate Louise Martin. Had a good feed up to camp. Fried chicken breast, salad, drinks and dessert. Came home at about 5:30 PM. Made biscuits, had beans. Had heavy thundershowers today. The young ladies stayed all night at camp. Kim didn’t have to work tonight or tomorrow night. I made two chocolate cakes, one for the picnic.
