A very nice day, windy. I got my housework done up, went to
Portland with Blanche, Joy and kids. Joy went to the Greyhound bus terminal and
took off for South Carolina to meet Buddy. Bill and I called at Ferns in
evening.
Betty got a nice encouraging letter from Mike today. At last
he is making progress on the transfer. I do hope it will go through. I made a
cake for Billie. We had a chicken dinner. A nice sunny day, snow settled some.
Betty and I to town in evening. Betty and Blanche to Portland. Betty bought
some chickens.
