Thursday, January 17, 1963
Not so cold during the day. It warmed up. We done up the
housework. Betty took the car out, she and Jeff went riding. Bob called and
Dorothea went away with her for a little while. Betty pretty good. No letter
from her old Mike. Dorothea and I called at Ferns in evening.
Friday, January 18, 1963
Milder, cloudy and stormy, snow and sleet. Done up the
housework. In evening
Dorothea, Jeff and I to town. Betty has been in a world of her own all day.
Saturday, January 19, 1963
A very nice warm day. I cooked. Dorothea done up the
housework. Betty felt better. Bill shoveled off the porch roofs. Barb and Wesley called.
No letter from Mike. Betty, Dorothea and I to the movies in evening. Fern came
up in the evening.
Sunday, January 20, 1963
Cloudy. Bill called to work about five or six times this
morning. Worked all day. We made a oyster stew. Kennie, Dot, Bob and Blanche
called. Dorothea down to Barb’s in evening. Betty, Dorothea and I trying to
think what to do about Mike.
