About the same temperature. Storm all day. Bill worked.
Kennie and Dot called. Billie shoveled. I didn’t get up until about 10 o’clock.
Didn’t do very much today.
Monday, January 14, 1963
Cold day. I washed. Dorothea hung them out. In p.m. I
churned. Dorothea went with Barbara and Nancy. In evening Betty, Jeff and I to
town. Late in evening Betty, Dorothea and I over to Aunt Ava’s and Uncle Lewis’s
and showed the movies. Snaps and slides came.
Tuesday, January 15, 1963
A nice sunny day, on the cool side. Dorothea and I did some
cooking, Jell-O, rolls, two pies, rolls, cooked meat and a good dinner we had.
Fern up for supper. Dorothea gave me a permanent today. Betty on the bleak
side. Blanche called.
Wednesday, January 16, 1963 13 below this morning
Today we ironed. Blanche called in a.m. Bob and Nancy and
George here in p.m. Betty and I to town in p.m. Betty called on Thelma’s this
p.m. Jeff outside today. No letter from Mike.
