A perfect day. ADAIRS LEFT ENGLAND FOR U.S. Dennis, Dorothea
and Jeffrey left England today for home. Expect to hear from them tomorrow.
Blanche and I went to the Fryeburg Fair. Mama went over to Aunt Ava’s for the
day so that left Betty here alone all day, which she enjoyed. Mrs. Harry Hansen
called to see me today about working for her.

Wednesday, October 3, 1962 GOT A TELEPHONE CALL FROM
DOROTHEA!!
Dorothea called tonight and I wasn’t home. She was so
disappointed about it. I was too. They arrived in this country about 530 this
morning. Dennis and Jeff were in bed and all tired out. They had to land at Idlewind
Airport in New York. Took a bus to McGuire Air Force Base. They are staying in
a hotel there tonight. I will be so glad when they get home. Another nice day.
Went to town with Fern and Lloyd. Betty bought me a new dress, curtains etc.
etc. I paid the group insurance today.
