Wednesday, October 10, 1962 The Day I Have Been Waiting For ~
2 years and 9 months
Rain rain rain. Yes rain is all we get. No Adairs up to 7
PM. Blanche, Betty and I sat up and waited last night all night. Today done up
the work. Churned. Blanche here most of the day. Fern, Lloyd and Charles
called. Also Aunt Ava. We have watched and watched. They don’t come. I’m
worried. WELL AT 830 THEY CAME. Dorothea, Dennis and Dear little Jeff.
He is the cutest little fellow. And four dogs. We are so glad to see them all
and Dorothea was so glad to get home.

got shoes. Betty went to the doctors. She is all right except a little too fat.
Dorothea got me some slippers. We called at Barbara’s. Barbara up here in
evening. Betty showed her wedding gifts and her snapshots.
