ELECTION DAY
It has rained all day. Zak up
here again this a.m. Betty to her group meeting. I done some cupboards today. I
had planned to wash. Bill up to camp this p.m. I was down to Betty’s in a.m.
till she went away. Carmen up here for supper. She is a nice girl. Hope she
will understand and be wise enough in this tough world and common sense enough
to keep herself good and innocent. Also the other two as they get older. Had
some a Betty’s ham for supper (delicious). Today was election day. A new
governor, an independent, James Longley.

to her first dance tonight, Zak and Kim got school pictures
A nice day. Up, got the work
done. Betty and I went to Portland. We called at Dorothea’s. Dave was there.
They seem so very happy. She was the same as she used to be. Betty did quite a
lot of shopping, Christmas. I got some groceries. I washed the bed spread this
morning. Tonight Carmen went to her first dance (school). She had a good time,
was very excited about it. Zenya was going but hurt her foot again. Kim and Zak
got their school pictures. They are very good. Betty, Walt and Zak
called in evening.
