Sunday, August 20, 1972 Billie working at Walt’s, $50
A beautiful day. Done up regular work. Carmen came up here
last night because she had a slight touch of asthma. Billie Walker called here
this morning. I got some more blueberries today. Zak has a touch of diarrhea.
Monday, August 21, 1972 Billie worked at Walt’s
A very nice day. I did my washing. Betty went to Portland. I
went down there a little while. Carmen and I picked some peas. Billie didn’t do
much, he bought some more hay up to Erwin’s.
Tuesday, August 22, 1972 HOT
This has been a very hot day. I done up the work. Betty came
up. I did my ironing and a dite of washing. Down to Betty’s. She did a big
ironing. I shelled some peas for her. Mrs. Odette Robinson came up. Carmen, Kim
and Zak rode the horses. Carmen to the dentist. Bill working upstairs. Walt
late coming home, had to work late.

Wednesday, August 23, 1972
Another nice hot day. I done regular work, washed etc. Went
to town with Betty. She took Freya down for her shots. Zak was sick. Tonight I
cooked steaks outside on the grill. Had roasted corn. I did a dite of shopping.
Betty and Walt had company for supper, Bob and Shirley Winslow. Carmen slid off
the horse today while riding.
