Saturday, April 3, 1971
Cloudy in a.m., foggy and some rain. Bill to the dentist. In
p.m. I went over to Aunt Ava’s. Fern, Kennard, Delores, Es and me. Milton McKeen
Junior called to look at the house. Came home, Betty, Walt had called. Then they
came back for supper and Pa came to. Tom went today.
Sunday, April 4, 1971 George Allen died this p.m.
A beautiful day. I done up regular work. In p.m. I went over
to Aunt Ava’s. There were Charles Robinson and grandson, Raymond Gammon and
wife, Carl Marshall and wife, Rodney Kennison and wife, Owen Smart and wife,
and a Ronald Kiesman who came to look at the house. Weldon called, George Allen
died.
Monday, April 5, 1971
A very nice day. I did my wash, sheets and everything dried
good. I went down to Betty’s, I went to town with her. I came home, Kim came up
for a visit in p.m. I did my ironing in p.m.
Tuesday, April 6, 1971
A quite nice day, some haze. Up early, got ready and at 8:30
Betty, kids and I left for a shopping trip. We met Dorothea at North Windham.
She went with us. We went to Kings in Falmouth then back to Monmouth Mart, Giants
at nearby Deering section. Had lunch at Dowdy’s, very good. Got home about 4:30.
I got me a new coat for summer. Had a good time. Walt up to Augusta for three
days to go to school.
