Very hot. Dorothea up early and off to work. She came home
near noon. Effie Evans was packing all morning. After Dorothea had got home a
short time, a neighbor Alice came and told her she had a phone call. It was the
lawyer. The divorce comes off Monday at 9 AM. What a relief. No more waiting.
Ms. Evans and children left today. We are so pleased. Dorothea, Jeff and I all
over to the stores shopping. In evening we called at Edna’s. I baked beans
today. Dorothea liked them.
