A beautiful morning. I got up early, took a bath, came down,
had breakfast. Helped Es do up the work. Got ready and left for Dorothea’s at
about 9:30. We made about three stops, it was a very pretty ride as we neared
northern Ohio and Michigan. It was very flat land, farms and farms, corn and
vegetables and beef and dairy farms. Lime and steel mills. We got here at about 2:30 our time.
Dorothea got home and was so pleased to see us. She was called to the hospital
because of a serious condition of Mr. Adair. She wasn’t here much, had a lot of
callers. Rained hard all night.

catching pollywog’s. Dorothea, Jeff and I out to a McDonald’s hamburger for a
hamburger lunch. Went to the store, called at Edna’s.
