Saturday, August 8, 1970 60 years today
A nice hot day. Walt worked. Billie away with Lawrence. I
did regular work, made rolls. Down to Betty’s for supper. They had a cake. I
had a lot of nice gifts. $30 in money. All very nice. Fern, Lloyd, Thomas
family, Susan, Vince and us. A beautiful cake, but I told them not to do a
thing.

A cloudy day, on the quite warm side. I done up my work
early, waxed kitchen floor. Down to laundry with Fern and Lloyd. We did Aunt
Ava’s washing. Susan and Vince came back with us to spend the day and for
supper. I washed. We called at Betty’s.
