Friday, March 18, 1960
A nice day. All white with new snow. I cleaned up the
downstairs. Kennie and Dot here late in p.m. Billie and Kennard down to Raymond
to sign up for work. Betty up to Irene’s, she is going to have a permanent
tonight. I wrote to Dorothea tonight. Billie home all day except when he went
down to Raymond. Uncle Os still sick.
Saturday, March 19, 1960
Cloudy and snow in early a.m., cleared in p.m. I cooked,
ironed, to town. Kennard called. Billie up to Chet’s. Betty had her hair done
today, it looks very nice.
Sunday, March 20, 1960 SPRING
A very nice day, warm and sunny, not much going on. Billie
gone with Lawrence Boynton to Parsonsfield. Betty up to the corner. Mama was
taken very sick today. Went back to bed.
Monday, March 21, 1960
Warmer today. I washed. Billie went to South Berwick today
will Lawrence buying cattle. Kennie and Dot came up late this p.m. Kennie began
his job today as janitor at school. Dr. came today again. Mama has a kidney
infection.
Tuesday, March 22, 1960 Billie 29 today
Mama not so good today. Quite sick this p.m. I went to town
today with Kennard. Billie worked today for Lawrence. Rayburn, Joan and Karen
called in evening. Aunt Ava and Kennard, Dawn here in p.m. Kennie and Dot here
in late p.m. Dr. here in p.m. Mama had a temperature. Had a birthday cake and
ice cream for supper. No one here except the family and Dr. Nash.
