Monday, April 11, 1960 Letter from Dorothea, Den and Jeffie
I washed. Got a nice letter from Dorothea and family today.
Evelyn Ridlons called here tonight. Bill took her home. Bill and I down to
Marion Dews and got our income tax fixed up. Bare spot in the field today.
Tuesday, April 12, 1960 Dolores’s birthday
Today was nice and warm. Dolores is 57 today. Billie and I
to town. Down to Ferns and called a minute. I came home, made of pudding, did a
big ironing. Betty and Dawn came up here in p.m. Betty got material for her
blouse. Betty home tonight. I sent Dorothea some letter. Quite a nice warm day.
The snow went out in the fields today.
Wednesday, April 13, 1960
A very nice day, warm and sunny. I started the shed chamber
in forenoon. In p.m. Jean came up for supper and evening. Billie and I took her
home. Betty heard today that Mike is seriously sick. Betty to the high school
PT exhibition.
Thursday, April 14, 1960
Partly cloudy. I washed, cleaned up the house. Finished
doing the shed chamber. Billie didn’t do anything today.
Friday, April 15, 1960
Milan’s folks came very early this morning about 5 AM. We
talked, done work etc. in p.m. Milan, Betty and I to town to do grocery
shopping. In late p.m. Mama was taken sick with another chill caused from
another kidney infection.
