A nice day. Got hot. Mama up to Dolores. I did a big wash
for Mrs. Dearborn. Bill and I downtown to see the freshman parade. Very good.
Betty walked home with Holly and Steve. Don Chadbourne called to see Bill. Bill
and Billie hauled some sheathing home to fix porch ceiling. Donnie still
nervous. Billie and I up to Lil’s tonight.
Friday, September 13, 1957 Hot
A very hot day. I did Mrs. Dearborn’s big ironing. Went
downtown with Ken and Dolores to see the old cars that passed-through town.
Bill began putting ceiling on porch. I helped him a little in p.m. One did
Betty’s hair up. She and Steve were up for a cookout. Had a good time. Also
Holly was here. After supper Betty got ready and went to the freshman
reception. She looked VERY NICE. We all went down when Billie took her down.
Don fair.
