A very nice day. I cleaned up the house, Lloyd called. He
took me to town. I came home cooked. Got ready, went to town. Donnie sick, but
more quiet.
Saturday, August 31, 1957
Another nice day. Milan and family came this morning from
Connecticut for the Labor Day weekend. I done the usual housework. Blanche,
Betty, Norma over to Norway in p.m. Ned Richardson took them over. Ned here for
supper. Betty came home from Methodist camp tonight. She had a good time and
glad to get home.
Sunday, September 1, 1957
A nice day. We had a steak cookout. Milan’s family, Fern,
Lloyd and Uncle Os and us. Had a good feed. In p.m. Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis
called, had ice cream pie and cake. Bill and Lloyd cut up beef today. Had
trouble with the pump.
Monday, September 2, 1957
I washed. Fern, Lloyd and Uncle Os up here, brought all the
supper. Ate together, had Italian sandwiches. Very good. Betty down to Irene’s
with Holly to babysit tonight. Donnie up today and dressed, but not good.
Billie also late tonight getting home. Bill put check pipe on end of pipe down
in the well.
