A nice day. Dolores, Betty, Kay and I over to Norway in a.m.
Got Betty’s clothes for her graduation. I cooked before I went and girls and I
did up the housework. In p.m. I washed floors. John Linscott’s funeral this
p.m.
Sunday, May 19, 1957
Betty to church. I did up work, got dinner. Started my
letters. Fern, Kennie, Dot, Sally and girls and Blanche called in p.m. Cloudy
and cold.
Monday, May 20, 1957
A very heavy rain today. Billie didn’t work. I washed in
p.m. I went to town, got a rose bush for Mama. Bill set it out. Carlton and
Phyllis and girls came today. Over to Aunt Linnie’s in the evening.

Tuesday, May 21, 1957 Churned
A very nice day. I churned today, first time since last
December. Did up housework, got clothes in. Done some ironing. Nancy Conant and
Lewis Burdette (?) married today. Carlton called, also Phyllis and children.
Very cunning.
I can just hear in my mind Nanny saying..."Aint they cunning??"
