in a.m. Billie up to one. In p.m. Billie and I called on Dolores. Betty and I
walked down on the powerline. First time I’ve been down there this spring. I

A quite nice day. I washed. Got clothes dried and in. I
washed the windows on the outside today. Today we got a letter from Dorothea.
Joe has gone from her life. She is a down hearted lonely kid now. Too bad she
was so in love with him. I’m so sorry for her. Dorothea been gone one year
today.

Early this morning 1 AM got a call from Dorothea. She had
got a phone call him Joe and he is coming back to her. She was so pleased, just
had to call and tell me. I ironed, cleaned up downstairs. Donnie had some
clothes come from his folks today. Betty down to Kay’s tonight. Very cold and
windy.

A nice day but awful windy, on the cold side too. I went
down to Ferns, helped her clean her back kitchen. She is all done her
housecleaning now. I’m so glad for her. She is so poorly. Although she has had
a more pleasant winter than she has for several years. Kay up here for supper,
Susan Palmer called in late p.m. Betty to choir rehearsal. Charlie and Jean up
and spent evening.
