Tuesday, April 16, 1957
It was a nice day, little warmer. I went down to Ferns to
help her with her cleaning. Cleaned Uncle Os room and Esther’s room. Joy and
Holly here today.
Wednesday, April 17, 1957 Hair done tonight Permanent
Cloudy. A little warmer. Cleaned Ferns bedroom and upstairs
and downstairs hall today. I came home, cooked and in evening went over to June
Stackhouses and got a permanent. Betty went down to Kay’s house in p.m and
stayed till after choir rehearsal.
Thursday, April 18, 1957 Letter from DOROTHEA
Cloudy most all day. Down to Ferns, did her bathroom and
cellarway. Today we got a letter and snaps from Dorothea. Was so glad to get
it.
Friday, April 19, 1957
A fair day. Warmed up a lot. I cooked in a.m. In p.m. Esther
Allen and I went to Portland to see Lila Allen Walsh who was operated on for a
bad carbuncle. In evening Helen Smart called. Bill and I took her home and
called at her house. Billie, Hayd, Dennis and Raymond went smelting and get a
nice lot of them.
