Wednesday, October 10, 1990 SURPRISE
Cloudy, and dark and dreary today. Well we got the surprise of our lives today. John Crook Junior and his wife Raye came from Scotland. We all was very pleased to see them. Betty, Carmen, Brogan, Betty and I was on our way to go up to Augusta way to see or look for ponies and a riding horse and luckily we hadn’t got started and my nephew and wife by marriage called. So we immediately changed our plans to visit. Had lunch at Betty’s. Also a roast pork supper down there. Up to Dorothea and David’s in evening. Took pictures. A very nice eventful day and evening.

Today I went way up to Augusta, Vasselboro and other nearby towns looking at ponies. They found one. Also riding horse. Didn’t leave until about 1 o’clock. They found the places good and easy. It was a pretty ride. Ate on the way. Got home about 8:30 PM. It was a good ride. Dorothea and David up to Vermont to visit with David’s grandmother, they had a very nice long visit with her. It rained all day.
