Wednesday, November 6, 1963
Cloudy and drizzly most all day. I cooked. Got supper under
way. Fern came up for supper. Lloyd cut up the meat. Bill wrapped it in
evening. I tried out the lard. Carmen didn’t feel too good.
Thursday, November 7, 1963 Rain
Rained hard all day and all evening with high winds. I worked
then went to 63 South High St. to work. Rained so hard all evening. Bonnie here
and Blanche. Carmen has another tooth. I finished trying out the lard.
Friday, November 8, 1963
Lloyd cut up rest of the meat. I done up the work, went to
town in p.m. with Fern and Lloyd. We bought Carol’s gift for wedding. They then
took me to work. Rained hard all day. $49 paid because Monday is the holiday.
Water from faucet, good old water.
Saturday, November 9, 1963
Cloudy, rainy, dreary day. Betty, Carmen, Blanche and I to
Portland. I got new shoes, two new dresses. We got the TIRES for the car. Snow
treads. Fern up tonight.
