Cloudy dreary day. Some rain showers. Billie didn’t get to
bed early, up late. They found David Witham today. He had shot himself in a
lonely and deserted back woods road. In p.m. it cleared. Betty, Bill and I with
good old Lassie, we went down and helped Jean a little while then took a ride
up through Stoneham, Lovell, Sweden and home. Fern came up after dark and
stayed till Lloyd came. Billie and Arthur put up the fence around the field for
the cows.
