Saturday, May 11, 1969 Set out maple tree and lilac
Another miserable day. It has been showery, cold, cloudy and
windy. Not but a dite of sunshine. We had a chicken dinner. Bill, Billie and
Walt set out a Maple tree we had over in the pig pen. Also Betty and Walt got a
Lilac bush set out at the end of the house. Betty, Walt and kids called at
Joy’s. Today for Mother’s Day I got $10 from Billie, a nice card from Dorothea
and phone call, a very nice box of chocolates from Betty and a card also. A
card from Esther. Also got some trees set out.
