HOT HOT. Betty worked for Blanche. I cooked, washed, cleaned
up the house. Dolores here in a.m. In evening Blanche and I took Betty over to
Auburn to see Mike’s mother. Betty was so much happier after she came home from
there. She had heard his mother wasn’t going to let Mike marry. Billie busy all
day.

A mean cloudy rainy day. We need the rain very much. Glad we
had it. I canned tomatoes. Betty ironed. Hot and muggy.

Cloudy with showers. I washed after it cleared off. Quite
warm and muggy. Billie and I down to Jean’s in forenoon. Betty did most of my
