Monday, December 5, 1960 LETTER from D & D ADAIR
Today got a letter from the Adair’s, first one for over a
month. Dorothea and family are living in a motel. She has a maid. They are very
happy. I washed. Kennard called. Nice and warm all day. A beautiful day. Bill
got the cow bred tonight with Lawrence’s bull. Cow bred.
Tuesday, December 6, 1960
A very nice day. Today Kennard and I to Portland to meet Delores
at the Greyhound bus terminal. She has been at Carlton’s for months during the
time Amy Louise Smith was born October 1960. Delores done some Christmas
shopping. I didn’t. In evening I ironed after I got home. Betty came home late.
She and Rowena had been over to Jeannie Davis’ at Harrison.
Wednesday, December 7, 1960
A nice day. Mama down to Ferns. I done some figuring etc.
Sent for Betty’s pictures. Dr. Nash squared all up with me today.
Thursday, December 8, 1960
A nice day, got cold in late p.m. Very cold. Betty brought
her pictures home tonight. Very very good. Rowena came too. Her pictures
too are very good. And Linda came later hours all good too. They went to church
with Randy this evening to the Catholic. I washed and ironed today.
