A very nice day. Hot. Sarah
and Uncle Os called. Sara cut Betty’s hair. I did up the regular Saturday work.
Cooked some too. Brud’s folks came today for a week.

Dorothea’s 19th birthday
A very nice day. Bill
worked on the strawberry bed. I wrote letters in p.m. In late p.m. Bill, Mama,
Donnie and I went for a ride. Billie worked at Chet’s haying. Billie led the
new Guernsey cow (Twitchell cow) up to Hayd’s.

A very nice day. Bill went
to Mass to the Lahey Clinic today. I washed today. Verna called in p.m.
Tuesday, July 31, 1956
A very nice day. Peter and Roger
Lowell (twins) down here for the day. I ironed. In p.m. Aunt Ava and Etta Keen
called in p.m. Raymond called in evening. Betty down to the choir rehearsal
now. Betty helped to do the work this morning. Bill helped Lloyd get in some
hay tonight. Bill didn’t get home till 12 at night last night.
