Hot and humid in a.m. And
all night rained and cooled off in p.m. and cleared and no humidity in p.m. Milan’s
family left for home about 5 AM. Betty to church. Billie worked. Cows got out
today, went up to Hayd’s. I ironed. Donnie still sick.

Donnie still sick. I called
Dr. Skillings, he said we should go to hospital for surgery. I called his
mother. I washed. A nice day. I went to town after Bill got home.

A cloudy day. Today
Donnie’s father, mother and aunt came for him and took him to the hospital. It
was hard seeing him go. He feels as near as my own. I missed him after he went.
I churned, cooked and cleaned up the house and ironed. Got package from
Dorothea today. Nice gifts.
