Tuesday, November 10, 1981

 

A quite nice day. Some cloudiness in forenoon, but it cleared. Bill and Billie hauled wood. David helped them. Then the trailer broke, they came up and fixed that then went back in PM and hauled some more. I went over to Marian Nevells with Betty. She took two chairs over to be recaned. Zak came home sick at noon. I sent my orders today, a card to Milan and Betty yesterday.

 

 

 

Wednesday, November 11, 1981 NO WORK NO SCHOOL

 

It was raining when we got up. It cleared and a nice day. No school, no work, no mail.

 

 

 

Thursday, November 12, 1981 Very cold this morning

 

A quite cold day. I got the work done up and went to town. Came home, made a beef soup for supper. I watched the soaps in PM.

 

 

 

Friday, November 13, 1981 Another cold morning

 

A nice day. I done up my work. Cooked, washed windows, washed the clothes. Busy all day. Bill worked on Walt’s truck. Billie doing odd and end jobs. Cleaning up etc.

It is foggy this morning and rain showers. I’m sorry because this is LRHS homecoming. Kim is planning to go to it all. Well late this PM it cleared off and they had the HC events, more to come tomorrow. Football game and all. I hope Betty goes. I done a lot of jobs today.

 

 

 

Saturday, November 7, 1981

 

A mostly cloudy day. I been busy all day doing all the work etc. Bill up to Dorothea’s working all day. Billie worked out in the barn cleaning fans, washing windows etc. Laurie and Cindy called this evening. Zak up in PM. Kim went to all the homecoming weekend events. 32 – 20 favor of LRHS score of the football game. Sophomores won the prize for the skit last night. Kimmy was so happy and pleased tonight. I’m sorry we didn’t get to see it. I wanted to.

 

 

 

Sunday, November 8, 1981

 

Clear and sunny today. A beautiful day. I worked at my desk. Bill down to camp with Weldon. Billie hauled wood. Bill up to Dorothea’s. Walt hauled the dump with his truck. I made out some orders today.

Monday, November 9, 1981

 

A very nice day, it was sunny and mild. Billie took Susan and Monica to the doctors. Monica sick. I did my wash, made pies. Down to Betty’s, we wrapped some Christmas gifts. Fern up to Betty’s for supper. I got my orders ready to go.

 

November 2 - 5, 1981

A beautiful day. I did a big wash. Made a chocolate pie, brownies, cooked a hen or fowl for supper. I am having Kim up for supper. I did a very big ironing. It was very hot in PM temperatures.

 

 

 

Tuesday, November 3, 1981 $339.30 + $149.20 = $488.50

 

A beautiful day. I done up my work. Got ready, went to Norway with Betty. Fern went too. Then we got some Italian sandwiches and bakery goodies. I had a delicious lunch. Billie down to Betty’s for Italian spaghetti supper, Fern there too.

Well so far this week we have had a perfect week weatherwise. Sunny and mild. Hope it lasts through Friday and Saturday. Homecoming weekend. Betty called for a little while. I sent out the bills today.

 

 

 

Thursday, November 5, 1981

 

A nice sunny day. Betty took Delores and I to town, she went to Norway to get the cat first. Bill and Billie got rest of the wood cut and began hauling it out. I watched some programs this PM. Man worked on Walt’s barn roof today.

 

October 29 - November 1, 1981 Halloween!

Bill down to North Windham to have the hearing aid checked out. I did my shopping down there. I went with him. I went down to Betty’s for a while. Her house looks very nice. She has it all cleaned.

A nice day. Betty took Delores to town. I went down and helped Betty do her kitchen windows etc. Bill and Billie worked in the woods. Bill took Kim to town to shop.

 

 

 

Saturday, October 31, 1981

 

A very nice and sunny day. I done up my Saturday work, down to Betty’s and washed her porch windows on the outside. She did all her other windows on the outside. I came home, took bath. Baked the rolls and bread. Bill and Billie worked in the woods all day.

A very nice sunny day. I done up regular work. Bill and Billie worked in the woods. Bill got quite tired. I worked at my desk all day. Kids called.

Sunday, October 25, 1981 FREEZE, STANDARD TIME

 

Well it was sunny in a.m. and most of PM. I got up at 6:30ST. I got the breakfast, done up the work. Bill up to the cottage with Betty and Walt and Zak. They got the outbuilding all up. Put the tar paper on the roof and painted at. Then they got the stove set up and a fire in it. Kim came up here for a visit. I was glad to see her. I don’t see her very often. Billie worked all day outside doing odd jobs. Called at Fern’s in PM. A very bad frost and a good freeze when we got up this morning. Quite cold all day.

 

 

 

Monday, October 26, 1981

 

Well it has been cloudy and rain. I did my washing then I went down to Betty’s for a short time. I came home, watched the TV soaps. Betty cleaned Kim and Carmen’s bedrooms.

 

 

 

Tuesday, October 27, 1981

 

Well this is been a very heavy rainy day. I got up this a.m., got a corn beef to cooking and prepared the vegetables then I cleaned my living room. We had Fern up for the boiled dinner supper. It was very good. She liked it very much. It is supposed to clear off tomorrow. I also did my ironing, washed the curtains, cleaning rags after supper. Betty did Zak’s room and finished her upstairs.

 

 

 

Wednesday, October 28, 1981

 

It was cloudy and some rain showers in a.m. and early PM it kind of broke away. Late in PM it became very cold and some wind. I done a lot of odds and end jobs today. Bill got his haircut then in PM up to the camp. Billie finished up all the outside chores then he cleaned the lawn mowers and put them away for the winter. Betty cleaned her bedroom.
