Rained hard all day. Bill didn’t work. Cleaned cupboards.
Billie sick.
Sunday, June 2, 1946
Cloudy. Bill, Billie, and Kennard moved the brooder house
over for a workshop. Finished setting out strawberry plants. Moved chicken
coops.
Monday, June 3, 1946
We did big washing. Mama ironed. I cleaned up the house. Up
to call on Papa’s in eve. He is not very well. Got our bull calf from Harry Leavitt.
Tuesday, June 4, 1946
Helen and I cleaned the Gleason cottage. Cloudy and showery.
Planted some more corn and beans. Papa still not well.
Wednesday, June 5, 1946
Began down to Walters to clean. Helen Smart and I. Nice day
with some rain.
Thursday, June 6, 1946
Work down to Walters half day. The dining room rug came.
Planted potatoes tonight.
Friday, June 7, 1946
Fair and warmer still down to Walters. Dolores and Kennard’s
dog got run over, Gismow, up to their camp.
